Don't Forget, Mummy...

... It's Ella's birthday tomorrow, and you promised me you would make her a pencil case similar to mine.

Of course I didn't forget! I just like to do things at the last minute. Really!

Lovely!

Oh, so we have something else in common... the wait-till-the-last-minute gift sewing. ;o)

I'm sure Ella will love her pretty monogrammed gift. You're such a good Mom!

Lucky Ella - you are getting more like Judith all the time, whipping up pressies on demand!

I'm sure you were just waiting for the perfect fabric combo to come to mind...

At least she didnt come to you at midnight and tell you she needed a fairy costume for school or something the next morning !

Needs a "Y" at the front and an "S" at the end and then a mirror :)
And then you need to fill it with chocolate please.
Oh, sorry...not my birthday :(
I think Mummies deserve the gifts on offspring's birthdays . . . . after all... who did all the pushing?? So go get yourself some Chocolate Susan!

But there are few things in life more satisfying than whipping up a zippy ouch so you were, you know, just enjoying the anticipation. It looks fab!

I have just realised I wrote zippy ouch. I hope it wasn't a zippy ouch...

you mean you don't have spare pencil cases with every name under the sun lying around waiting for such an emergency?

Nothing like a bit of action stations when you've nothing else to do! And on a side note, I'm so jealous you still get called mummy. I've been "muuuuuuuum" for years.

It's good that this kind of last minute gifts are totally doable :) It's lovely and thank you for inspiration - I think I know now what to do with my beloved jeans dungarees that somehow must have...ekhem...shrunk.
